I do science for a living but I also wear other hats. I have been a road biker for close to a decade (I ride a 1996 Cannondale 2.8). My newest finished bike project (and the oldest running project) is a fixed gear bike (photos coming soon!). Until recently I enjoyed hiking in the green mountains of Vermont. Now I am exploring the vast landscapes of Wyoming and Colorado. I cook a lot but I don't usually go by measures or recipes.
After moving to Laramie, which is at 7200 feet, I am dealing with the challenge of cooking and baking at high altitude. Coffee turns tepid quickly, water boils at less than 100C and the wild yeast rises the dough so fast, it will make your head spin. But despite these challenges, my sourdough bread is improving. Feel free to browse around and don't miss the pictures.
